What is the Solarmates Referral Program?

The SolarMates referral program is where we give back to solar owners providing them with a way to earn some quick cash! The referral app is a way for you to refer friends and family members to SolarMates. As a thank you for sending them our way, we will give you $35 for every qualified referral!

If the person you referred qualifies for solar they will be offered a free consultation. If they agree to sit down and speak with our consultant, the person you referred will receive $35 after their consultation.

If the person you referred decides to go solar with SolarMates you will receive $2,000.

How do I get the App?

The SolarMates referral app is available for iPhone and Android devices. You can download the app from the App Store or Google play by searching “SolarMates ”. If you do not have a smartphone, you can use a computer and register online via visiting www. gosolarmates.com /referral app. Once you are registered, you will receive a confirmation text via SMS*. This will have your account information, and a link to download the app. Once you have downloaded the SolarMates referral app, you can submit referrals on the go! *Message and data rates may apply.

What is the referral process?

Download the SolarMates Solar App via the Google Play Store or Apple Store and create a free account. Refer your friend via the referral App by selecting what product you are referring them for (Solar Panels or a New Roof) in the app then submit their information.

SolarMates Solar will get in touch with your friend by phone to schedule a free consultation if they qualify for solar or a new roof.

After your friend has completed their in-home consultation, we will pay you $35 and your friend will get $35! If your friend or family member decides to go solar with SolarMates, you will receive $2,000 through the referral app.

Can I track my referrals?

You can! The SolarMates Solar Referral app allows you to track from when they enter our system to when they make a purchase. You can see all of this on your Referral Detail page.

Do I have to be a customer of SolarMates to refer people?

No, you do not have to be a customer of SolarMates to refer people and receive rewards.

Who can I refer?

You can refer any homeowner who is a good solar candidate!

What if multiple people refer the same person?

If SolarMates receives the lead from multiple referrers, the referral fee will be paid only to the referrer who first submits the lead (indicated by the date of entry into our database).

Can I refer a commercial business?

Yes! We do both commercial and residential.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?

No! You can refer as many people as you want. There is no limit!

Can I refer someone who lives in the same household as myself?

No. You cannot refer someone in the same household that has the same address as you.

What if I don't have a smartphone or tablet?

You can register online by going to our website, www.solarmates.us, and accessing your account there.

How am I paid for my referral?

You will receive your rewards via bank ACH transfer.

When do I get paid for my referral?

We pay our $35 referral fee after the sales appointment is seen by our consultant. It can take up to 14 business days, but usually is paid sooner. The $35 for the person who was referred will be paid out after the sales appointment is seen as long as they have downloaded the referral app (or registered online at www.gosolarmates.com / referral app and created an account.

If your referral goes solar, you will receive your reward after installation.

Do Advocates have to pay taxes on money earned through the SolarMates referral program?

Referral Rewards may be taxable, depending on the value of the item and the federal, state, and local tax laws applicable to the Advocates. SolarMates does not offer tax advice and Advocates should consult with their tax professional for any questions. Advocates are solely responsible for reporting such items on their tax returns and paying any associated tax liability.

Will Advocates receive a 1099-K?

When rewarding for referrals through the SolarMates App, it is classified as a digital payment through XTRM. Third-party settlement organizations are required to issue a 1099-K after 200 transactions and paying out over $20,000. Whether the payee receives a 1099-K or not, they are still required to report that income to the IRS (and state, if applicable) and pay taxes accordingly.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Simply go to the app log in screen and hit the “forgot password” button.

I need to change the email I registered with.

Within the app, you can edit this on your profile page.

I don't see my account verification email.

Occasionally, the verification email may go to your junk folder. Please check there.
